Mobility

I'm 74 years old, with stage four COPD, on oxygen 24/7. I've got the usual "toys" home concentrator, portable concentrator, scooter, walker, and cane, and seemingly miles of tubing. When trying to travel some, after loading all this stuff in my SUV, I'm exhausted and then don't feel up to going. Unloading, then reloading over night enroute is tough as well. Living on mostly Social Security is tight, as you all know. Are there organizations out there who award grants for the purchase of handicapped accessible vehicles? I've got six great grandkids I've never seen, and probably won't unless can solve this problem.
Any advice or direction?
Thanks.

  1. Hi . I did some light research and found this link that might help: https://specialneedsanswers.com/loans-and-grants-for-wheelchair-vans-and-vehicle-adaptations-19659. I hope you are able to find something that makes visiting the great grandkids easier. You deserve the chance to see them and get to know them. Wishing you the best. - Lori (Team Member)
