Humidifers

Just asking if anyone of maybe how many of us have and use humidifiers. I have been researching and all of them have a lot of bad reviews, but they all have a ton of good reviews as well. How do you get a "good" one?

  1. Hi Tom - you bring up a good topic - I am hopeful others will chime in here and share their own experiences, so we all can 'compare notes', so-to-speak.
There have been some discussions, right here on COPD.net, which focus on varying aspects of humidifiers and humidification, which I thought might be of interest to you. For your convenience, here is a link to several of those articles/posts: https://copd.net/search?s=humidifiers.
I do hope you find them to be helpful.

    1. I believe this may be one of those topics that are tricky because we are all so individual in terms of our bodies and what works best for us. I do know that for many too much humidity can be a problem. Have you ever used a humidifier? April - COPD. net Team

      1. I had a small one last year. It did not amount to much..

    2. Update, after a ton of reading reviews I finally bought a humidifier. It is good for 750 sq ft. this particular one worked so good I ordered a 2nd one which should be here any day. Helped my sinuses about 90%. I am not using any nasal spray now for 3 nights. It is a Vornado EDVC300. A little pricey $90 but to me well worth it. Like all of the models it has good and bad reviews. I shall see what the future holds, I bought it through Amazon so it should be returnable.

      1. I have had it on high for 8 hrs with no visible moisture anyplace. I have it on a tray and no sign of leakage. There is a higher setting but I have not used it. I might today just for a test run. You can feel the mist but very lightly. The mist travels at least 5-6 ft up plus I have it over a register. We shall see.

      2. Hi Tom - thanks for letting me know. I, too, feel the fine mist and I see the aerosol traveling up. But, the furniture which the humidifier sits on (in my granddaughter's room), does get wet. I'll have to take another look.
        Regards,
