COPD and Hallusantions

I have Emphasema and Cronic bronchitis and I experience hallucinations. I usually experience them right before I get hospitalized. This last episode there was physical contact, not bad. I know it's not real but it sure seems like they are because I interact with them. Anyone else experience this?

  1. Hi Bonnie - thanks for this post - we appreciate you sharing this with the community.
I did see your other similar post here on our COPD.net platform and, was able to provide a response to you there.
For your convenience, here is a link to that conversation: https://copd.net/members/bonnienh62/status/115844#upsr-85824.
I do hope you have an opportunity to look it over.
    All the best,

    1. Thank you Leon. I will

    2. Great - thanks, Bonnie!!
Looking forward to hearing more from you when you are ready.
      Warm regards,

  2. I'm sure others in the community will have similar experiences to report. As you know, COPD can effect the amount of oxygen getting to our brains. If that happens it can lead to what you're describing.
It's amazing how real they can seem!
    Regards,

    1. It is. I can actually feel them touching me, I know not there. In the hospital taking me to my room I felt a hand grab the back of my thigh and squeezed so hard I screamed in pain . I faintly see 3 finger marks. I didn't do it to myself. Thanks for answering me. 🙋

    2. , that must be so scary to experience! Thank you for being so open with our community. All the best, Sam S. (COPD.Net Team Member).
