taking it one day at a time

In 2011 I was diagnosed with COPD and asked what that was, I had never heard of it. They told me what it was and that I had to quit smoking and I did right away.

Now 10 yrs later I'm coping one day at a time. I take in about 6000 steps daily walking in different stores, resting when I'm short of breath at home. When going up and down stairs, or carrying in groceries, I use a rescue inhaler about 3 times daily otherwise I'm healthy says my doctor. The secret is to rest often and just take it one day at a time. I'm 73 yrs old and retired.
