Never a smoker

Last September I was diagnosed with emphysema. I am over weight and get short of breath upon exertion mostly.

The smoking era

I grew up in the era when people smoked everywhere. Both parents were smokers so as my young lungs were developing they were being attacked by cigarette smoke on a daily basis. Anyway, didn't think much about until now at 62, I am overweight, out of shape and can't walk very far or very fast. I have lost some weight with the help of my primary care physician and a prescription.I also have osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and sleep apnea among other things.

Trying a new inhaler

My pulmonologist started me on Breo every morning. I am not sure how much it has helped. I do know that when I walk back from getting the mail, we live in the country and our driveway is 600 ft long, I am not as winded when I get back to the house. Not sure if anyone else uses Breo and what your experience is with it. Thanks for listening.
