Confusing diagnosis
Hi everyone. Im 55 and a 40 yr smoker. I was told I had mild COPD 14 months ago. I stopped smoking the day they told me. I had a CT scan of my lungs a few months ago. It stayed I had mild emphysema with scattered fibrosis with no consolidation in both lungs. All I was told was get another CT scan in a year. He didn't seem concerned. I mentioned the Fibrosis and he said you have COPD. I made an appointment to see a pulmonary Dr for a second opinion. I was told fibrosis can be slowed and that some are harmless. Confused and just don't know what to think.
