Mr. Bruzzi Herman

It was after heart surgery that I found out I had COPD. That was 8 years ago. Prior to that I would get out of breath going up hills. Had no idea it was the start of COPD. Well now I am on oxygen 15 hours a day. Just got a stair chair lift for $11,000. That HURT but after all the crap I have been through I still have a good attitude. I beat cancer and colon surgery so this is more like a huge pain. Have not played golf for 3 years now but still play my guitar. Thanks for listening LOL.

Reading your post, brought big smiles. I can’t help but respond!

Sometimes it doesn’t rain it pours and to go from heart to lungs is a big thing. Yet you are able to share smiles. Having beat cancer and colon cancer are very big things. You have a wonderful attitude and guitar is much nicer to listen too.

    Bruzzi, thank you.

    Hi Bruzzi,

I have to echo Casey’s sentiment about your positive attitude – it’s marvelous! That can make such a difference in a persons outlook, and in turn, their overall health. You sound like a fighter to me! Good for you.

I was thinking about the golfing. It’s such a pleasure on a beautiful day (not too hot and not too cold) to get out on the course. I have a good friend that isn’t up to playing anymore but has spent a few days just driving the golf cart around while his friends play. He’s the official chauffeurfor the day. It’s not the same, I know, but it does get him out to enjoy his friends and be on the golf course. It’s just an idea…

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us. Please keep us updated…
