"Been on 2ltr oxygen 24/7 for last 2 weeks. Been feeling best I have for roughly 3 years or so been able to exercise and be more mobile. Not as many panic attacks as before. Until today . Lost all breath when doing my exercises which spiraled into panic once again . "

  1. Hi . I am so glad to hear that 24/7 oxygen has made such a big improvement in your quality of life. What a relief that must be. Having the ability to exercise again should help your lungs and heart become more efficient as well and you might find you become even more comfortable with time. Sending the very best of wishes your way. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. Hi Robert. I'm glad to hear that things are going fairly well with your exercise, but sorry you had that panic attack the other day. It's so understandable to panic when you lose your breath ... it's instinct, nothing to be ashamed of and not your fault.

Do you know about pursed lip breathing? This is an important skill that can help you work through these periods of shortness of breath. It's a good exercise to do even when you are feeling well because it can help maintain your lung function. Here's a video that explains it:

I also love this article from Barbara, who talks about working through anxiety with breathlessness:
