"I am melting from heat and humidity. Really hard to breathe for me. I took my disabled son out for lunch. Second time in 14 months. He lives in a group home. We are both fully vaccinated. I got really sick from my Moderna vaccine. Saw my pulmonologist on Thursday. He’s going to give me a referral for the zephyr valve treatment. I’m final stage COPD, severe emphysema and chronic respiratory failure. So far this year I’ve had one severe exacerbation, hospitalized for 6 days. I live alone, minimal support from my able bodied son. He’s in denial about the severity of my illness. I have 4 cats, all rescue. They give me unconditional love. On those days I can only get out of bed to feed them, then I go back to bed. They all join me...nurse cats!"

I will be praying for you . This COPD is difficult to live with. I love the support we get from each other. Also in Montreal, Quebec, the heat and humidity is crazy. Summer is just starting. My children also did not understand COPD so I made them read a few articles with pictures. It worked. Take care !
