"Depression fighting so many demons and people around you don't understand and makes the depression even worse. I really want this all to end."

  1. , I hear how difficult things have been for you lately. Contending with COPD is hard and made even more difficult when those around us don't understand what we're dealing with. Here, in our community though, you are surrounded by those who get it and are here to offer you any support we can. We aren't professional counselors though, so if you would like I can private message you some additional resources for you to look at. Wishing you a peaceful day. All the best, Sam S. (COPD.net, team member).

  2. I'm brand new on here. My 1st search was depression.
    Man,
    I get it...God do I get it.
Man...hit me up anytime. Maybe , somehow we could possibly get thru some of this with each other's experiences and help.
    Ttyl man,
    Steven

  3. Would love to, any time. But I am living in Malaga, Spain.

    Greetings, Bob

  4. Good morning. I have read this along with your other contributions to our community. It's clear that you are going through a tough time, dealing with both depression and COPD. I want you to know that it is completely understandable to feel the way you do.

Fortunately, we live in an era where there are many effective treatments available for depression, which can greatly improve your quality of life and bring more joy into your days. Speaking to your doctor about what you're experiencing is often the first step towards getting the help you need.

If you ever feel comfortable doing so, reaching out to your doctor could be a positive step forward in your journey towards healing and recovery. Remember, you're not alone, and there are people who care about you and want to support you through this.

    Take care, John Community Moderator

  5. I wish it was true what you print but I have my doubts.

  6. Lots of people have found ways to successfully manage depression. I am one. 😀 That doesn't mean every day is perfect or that you never struggle again ... but with treatment it's possible to navigate the emotional ups and downs a little better. Like any other physical or mental illness, it can take time and trial and error to find what works for you, especially when you have more than one condition you're managing, like COPD. That said, even joining an online support group like ours from the comfort of your home can make a difference. I'm glad you're here, Bob. I hope it helps a little knowing the people here care about you, because we do. -Melissa, copd team

  7. Thank you for your kind words, but all this mixed with my PTSD I am ready to pop. I have one foot in and waiting for the other to join me.
