Hi Jess, and thanks for your post. I see my colleague, , has already responded. I will 'piggy back' onto what she has said.
I also wanted to ask is there anything further you can share with the community at this time regarding the other chronic conditions? It can really be challenging to manage several diseases simultaneously. How do you manage?

along with end stage emphysema, also have cervical, lumbar stenosis (which has currently gotten acute & high risk of falls as my balance is off), diabetes, ulnar neuropathy, coronary artery disease, etc. etc. The list goes on & on. But I truly believe a positive attitude is so important. I refuse to let this old body stop functioning & am grateful for every day I can drive me & my little doggie to our park & walk around, even tho I must sit every few steps. My faith has always gotten me through, and I love being outdoors!

Like you, I believe a positive approach and 'can do' attitude can go a long, long way towards managing one's health. Getting out in the fresh air with a pet sounds lovely!

That's what I do, too. Keep the good days, at the forefront. Love that you can drive to a park for a walk. That sounds so refreshing!
