Thank You for sharing this information. I carry the tanks and I hate them. I've always wanted a portable concentrator but can't afford one.

 You're welcome, <inline-mention username="sheryldill" user-id="2470680"/> ! I hope it helps. Have you ever tried contacting a private oxygen company to see if your insurance will cover one? I have heard conflicting stories about this so it may be worth a try. I got mine through my oxygen company but had to get a prescription from my doctor. This has been a hit-and-miss for others as well. Keep me updated! Best, Jackie (Author/Moderator)

Well I noticed that there are few responses to this. Likely because there is very little if any assistance out there for medical equipment not covered by insurance. I have been combing the web looking for assistance in getting a lift for my scooter to put on the back of my car as well as a ramp or lift for the outside of my home. I have found very few and the few I have found are geared towards severely disabled that were born that way, or specifically for traumatic brain injury, paralyzed etc. Or it’s a referral to somewhere else, then another referral possibly leading to a phone # of which no one answers or you leave a message but ultimately they don’t help with what you need. It has been very frustrating. I’m grateful to not be in those categories stated above trust me on that. But I cannot afford the cost of these items as I’m single and my family cannot cover these either. The truth is that there is very little if any, other than sites like this, support systems out there financially or otherwise for this dreadful disease. Everywhere I’ve googled including national council on aging. Disability web sites are geared mostly to those born that way. I’m not a senior yet so I’m sorta stuck in the middle. I feel like whenever I’m looking for assistance in regards to COPD, that there is… like an elephant in the room, where it’s known that there is a large amount of people suffering and could use help, like household related things or general assistance; But it’s known and seemingly absent of any care or assistance online. Has any one else found this to be the case? This site has been more help to me than any person, Dr. , or support group online or in the community! 😊. Not being political but all the government programs I see online are missing the category of COPD assistance. The exception is of course the more recent research via NIH, and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. And we know statistics show that COPD research

 Hi <inline-mention username="eat2017" user-id="2476559"/> ! Thank you, for responding. It is sad that there is few and far between of any for certain catagories especially that we would fall in. I’m sorry to hear that your extensive search did not help. One place I thought of while reading your comment is your local American Legion. I know they have helped others in our area in need. I wish I would have thought of that while doing that video. If I think of anything more I'll let you know. Please, keep us updated if you find anything. Best, Jackie (Author/Moderator)
