The COPD.net Team
Misty Roussa
Before joining Health Union in a full-time role, Misty was a community advocate for Cystic-Fibrosis.com, where she shared her life as a caregiver to her son with CF. She has been a writer for numerous online communities over the last 10 years. She is passionate about patient advocacy and helping to be a voice for those who need it.
Sam Sarube
Sam holds a BA in political science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Prior to joining HU, she spent several years as the chief of staff to an elected official and worked on multiple political campaigns. As someone who contends with chronic illness, Sam immediately connected with Health Union’s mission and values because she understands the importance of having a community you can turn to when managing a chronic condition. She is passionate about helping others and creating spaces in which people feel supported, understood, and validated.
