Pets and Health

This month we're talking about pets and health. If you have a pet, tell us how your pet helps you cope with COPD. Don't have a pet? Then tell us what comforts you when you aren't feeling so great...

  1. I am alone most of the time. Having my dogs and horses not only give mme things to do but give obvious affection. I am careful to make sure I wash up well after contact. I grew up with animals and can't imagine not not having them.

    1. Hi, pigeon!

It sounds like you really enjoy and know how to care for your pets - as well as doing self-care by washing up really well afterwards! Kudos to you, and thank you for sharing.

  2. I don't have any pets of my own right now, but am boarding my son's little dog, Phoebe and his cat, Zoom for an indefinite period of time. I can't imagine living without them. So much comfort and loving affection.

    1. Aw, that sounds really fun barb47, and how nice of you to board them for your son! So good to hear you're having a great time with them. Thanks for being part of our #LoveYourPet month.

  3. We have a house full of pets that supply endless amusement and comfort to me with my COPD anxiety. I like the fact that I am never alone it seems.. Though they do require slot of care and cleaning up.after, I wouldn't have it any other way.

    1. Hi Roger!

Thanks so much for sharing. I love the way you describe your pets as "endless amusement and comfort" - that's a beautiful thing! We appreciate your comment!
