Trilogy

Got it several months ago had strong pressure, then they put on new filter and I can barely feel it. They are saying I’m getting used to it but it seems funny it would right after they add filter and that it’s such a drastic change. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

    Hi danahickman –

Thank you so much for sharing this. We would love to be helpful if we can – however, I’m not sure I understand what you’re referencing with the filter. Would you mind being more specific and asking your question again?

    Thank you so much!

    Best,
    Jenn (Community Manager, COPD.net)

Hi DanaHickman and thanks for your comment. The ‘Trilogy’ is a machine that some patients have had prescribed for use at home. Typically it provides non-invasive ventilatory support (CPAP or BiPAP) and perhaps that is what you are using in your circumstances.
As part of routine maintenance, the filter should be washed or changed depending on the interval of time that it has been in use.
It’s difficult to answer your question without more information so I would advise you (as Jenn has) to be more specific so that we may be able to assist you. However, you may also want to ask for a supervisor or respiratory therapist from the company who provides you with the machine so they can reassess the unit for proper functioning. I think that Philips (the company that manufactures the Trilogy) may have a patient support number as well. You’ll be able to find that easily on the Internet.
Please check back with us and let us know how you’re doing.
All the best, Leon (site moderator)
