Spasms

I started having spasms ,and constant pain in my back and ribs , so bad that it hurt to stand or take a deep breath, or lift even a coffee cup. this has been going on for 5 months. I’ve been to my lung dr he took xray and ct scan. Nothing to show cause, put me on antibiotics, and the dr barely talks to you. My reg dr doesn’t know what it is just put me on ,antibiotics and prednisone ,muscle relaxers, and pain pills. If I sit, or lay flat I’m ok, but when I get up I can barely get a breath, feels like something squessing my lungs ,don’t even want to go to dr anymore . If they can’t help me what use are they, and I’m wasting their time. I’m on a hand full of meds,I’m on oxygen 24/7 2 lit . I have stage 3 kidney disease, thyroid disease, high blood pressure . My WBC has been high for a year . I just don’t know what to do anymore. Thought I’d put this on here in case someone else is going threw it,they will know their not alone .

I have had that awful squeezing spasms but mine would come on by swallowing. I was diagnosed with gastric reflux. I think that diagnosis was pulled out of thin air bc they couldn’t explain the spasms on swallowing.

Hi. Beulah. Sometimes it’s difficult for doctors to understand all symptoms. Since they diagnosed you with acid reflux, did they prescribe any treatment for it? Just curious. John. Site Moderator.

Thanks I read it ,and after going onto Facebook copd, and talking to dr,their is nothing else they can do except meds for symptoms I use to think we’ll maybe when I go back he can help me. He can’t. The only one to help me is me..

Both my reg dr and pulmonary dr pretty much said the same thing, and I believe them , after everything I’ve read and watching my mother and sister die from this. All I can do is push myself to keep going

Hi again, BrendaC. I’m sorry to hear your physician cannot help you. Do you think another physician may be able to assist you with this? What do you plan to do moving forward? Leon (site moderator)
