I have copd and was on Spiriva for about a year and did not do well. Told my doctor it was not working for me but nothing changed till I was hospitalized in December. At that time I went on oxygen and started to do better however as a side effect to a drug given to me I stopped urinating and had to have a catheter inserted about three or four times a day for a week until I started to urinate again. I am now on cruise ellipta and breo ellipta and am doing much better however I find my urin flow still very weak has anyone else had the same problems thanks Garry

    Hi garrys

I do know of a couple of people who had a similar reaction to Spiriva. Medications can affect each of us differently. I hope that your new meds work much better for you and that your flow improves.

Hi Janet Thanks for your kind words. Yes I am getting along much better now but must say I am still in the learning stage with this COPD thing. I just returned home from hospital where I had to have IV drugs and drugs in facemask to get everything back n control. Learned two things there is no such thing as a slight cold when you have COPD and the action plan your doctor gives you to use at home to help yourself only works if start with the first word of the plan ACTION. Thanks again Garrys

Hi garrys and thanks for this post. I seem to recall you posted something very similar elsewhere on our COPD.net site. I’m hopeful others in the community, who may have a similar experience such as you’re sharing, will respond with their own anecdotal story.
I do recall you saying you were already evaluated by a urologist and there were no issues in that regard.
    We appreciate your candor here.

    Hi again, garrys.
I was able to locate your original post here on COPD.net. It’s located in the “Q & A” section. Just to be thorough, and keep the posts organized, I’ll post the link here should you want to refer to it and also look at the replies there: https://copd.net/q-and-a/weak-urine/.
I do hope you find this to be helpful moving forward.
