I was diagnosed with COPD 5 yrs ago. I was hospitalized twice, came home both times on oxygen, which I came off, they say I am very severe. I do have good days and bad, I do as much as I can. I only test 27% on the spirometer - I have never been able to blow in that. I really feel good and positive.

I am on 1 meter oxygen at night. They want me to sign up for a lung transplant but I don't feel like I am ready for that. I pray and have a very strong faith in healing from my Jesus. I pray for a cure for this always. I am gonna stay positive and do all I can to be happy and do all I can and enjoy this life. God Bless us all.

I am good just trying and praying lots gotta stay positive as much as I can, I have decided against the lung transplant, I am praying to get the stem cell. I don't want to put my family threw a lung transplant that you don't even no would work, and can't afford the added expense medicare doesn't pay, to me it's not all about me , it's also about my family, and I never want them to stop work they have small children, even thoe they love me ,to me it's so unfair,I choose for my Father God to heal me in this life, I will enjoy my kids and grandkids, I am only 56 in August and I am gonna live as long as I can N JESUS JAKE

Me too! I am with you. The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn and practice deep relaxation and deep breathing as well as using pursed lip breathing in everything you do. I am avoiding oxygen, and all medication by using these self healing skills. I am loving my life and my family as well! it is summer now and I love to swim and do so for twenty minutes almost every day. In the winter it is off to the gym to build strength and stamina. Strong muscles are more efficient in their oxygen use! Pray when you relax and meditate...Love to you Lynn

P.S. I am 75 years old and have had emphysema since I was in my 40's. I worked until I was 69 years old and still do all my own self and home care now. I move more slowly but I am still moving and still breathing deeply and on my own. stem cell research is exciting, I agree!

 Pray for me I'm having a heart sonogram this Thursday June 9 at 8am just to make sure it's not affecting my heart, I'm believing in a great report N JESUS NAME,

I love my family. I miss being my fun self. Kind of depressed as summer is my time of the year. Me and my kids love the pool and lake. Having a hard time with this I am on oxygen all the time.

 I hear ya Rhonda! I too feel the same way! Some days are good and some days are bad! Very very depressing! I just turned 58 and have had this disease for over 10 years! Tired of not being able to do hardly anything anymore. Depression and anxiety seems to be my life. Oh what joy! Good to know I can come on this site and vent! Take care!!

Just wanted to add , I am doing fine, loving my life, enjoying my grandkids, when I have hard days, I thank him anyway, and I pray , Faith we must have, I have decided against a lung transplant, I think am gonna be OK , I no I am sick but I love my family enough and they love me, and I never want to put them threw all of that, nothing is garented, so I depend on the best dr of all Jesus, God bless us all
