My COPD

I was diagnosed with COPD about 8, maybe 9 years ago. Unfortunately I had never heard of this disease, so without taking it seriously I failed to give up smoking until just over a year ago (I had cut down to 5 a day in the last 12 months).

I now have severe COPD! I'm very sad about the life I no longer have, but I do not dwell on it, I try to keep as active as possible by leaving my flat at least twice a day to stroll around the shops. Next week I'm attending my second pulmonary rehabilitation course, during the bleep test this week, it was decided that I may need oxygen to help me with exercise! This has knocked me for six, but I won't lay down and give up!

I have read very many stories on here from fellow COPD'ers and have taken on some sound advise, so thank you.
