End stage copd with nodules and 25% lung function

i have had copd since the year 2000 i have been on oxygen for 10 years now that it has got worse my family does not understand or except i cannot do things i did a year ago

Hi Val123 - I'm so sorry to hear that. It's difficult when those closest to us don't have the empathy and understanding they should. Hopefully they'll come around. You may want to have one of them go with you to your next doctors appointment. It can help if they hear first-hand what the doctor says. Hi Val I hope you are having a good day. Val what stage were you at when you were diagnosed in 2000? And how many years did you stay in each stage if you don’t mind me asking. Saying a prayer for you, Ken

I am in end stage as well. How long can this lasr? I remember a Barbara on this site who was end stage for years. I don;t feel like I have years but I'd love to know the range

 Hi again, <inline-mention username="LROgal" user-id="4257133"/> - it's great to see you remaining engaged with the community. As you may be aware, COPD affects every patient differently. As well, the disease itself, progresses differently for each patient. The progression can be dependent on any number of factors, which again will be specific for each individual patient. I wish that providing a range (of life span), would be practical or even reliable but, it is one of those things that is impossible to predict! I do hope you understand. May I ask you - how are you feeling lately? Do you get through your day? Are you symptomatic? Are you satisfied with your treatment plan and medication regimen?
