    Hi Bigbird
It’s been a few weeks since you shared. How are you doing now?

I’m excited that you are getting the repeat sputum cultures. I say this because there are people who have never heard a sputum culture. I always like to tell people to have this done. This is what has told my doctors a few that I had pneumonia. Sputum cultures also tell what kind of infection a person may have.

Do they switch antibiotics when the other doesn’t work? I sure hope you are feeling better. Please update and let us know how you are doing.

It has been over a course of 2 months not weeks . Hasn’t said as of yet just started antibiotics for the fourth time.. if it does it again I may need to push the issue I guess..

Hi again, Bigbird and thanks for the clarification. Two months is different than 2 weeks, that’s for sure. However, some might say that 4 courses of antibiotics within a 2-month time frame needs further assessment. You will have to decide how to proceed next after this round of medication. Enjoy the weekend! Leon (site moderator)

Hi Bigbird and thanks for your post and question. While I’m hopeful others will respond with their own personal anecdotal experiences, I was wondering what your prescribing physician has said about this recurring condition/cycle you describe? Leon (site moderator)
