How does everyone feel about online pharmacies?

Especially those that do not require a prescription? Just want to gauge the community's feelings on this. I know a lot of people struggle to pay for their medications, and have turned to online pharmacies for the discounted prices. I have numerous concerns about this, and want to hear others thoughts.

  1. Hi PhyllisD and thanks for this post. I know you posted this in the 'visitor's post' section of our COPD Facebook page three days ago. To get this conversation started, I thought I'd post the response provided there in quotes: " Hi Phyliss and thanks for your inquiry. I am not fond of online pharmacies. With domestic pharmacies, there is little recourse when a prescription is erroneous. They can also be erratic when it comes to shipping medications that require specific temperature storage requirements. I find it much better to see and speak with a pharmacist to make certain the dispensed medication is accurate, proper and dated correctly. For pharmacies located outside the country, all the same issues apply but I trust them less. Remember, these are my personal opinions based on many years of professional experience. Of course you may have your own views. All the best, Leon (site moderator)" I'm hopeful others will chime in here. Leon (site moderator)

    1. Hi , and thanks for joining in the conversation as it relates to PhylissD's post about online pharmacies. Glad to hear you've had success using this approach.

My feeling is much the same as I responded to initially: I am not fond of online pharmacies. With online pharmacies, there is little recourse when a prescription is erroneous.

I’m hopeful others will chime in here.

      All the best,
