What is "mild" COPD?

What does it mean when they tell you you have mild copd that’s all they said to me and give me a inhaler been of cigarettes 4days now

  1. Hi kezz20 - That's a great question. It can be confusing when you're not given a full explaination. I'm going to add a link to an article that has a great description of each stage. I think it answers your question the best. Here it is: https://copd.net/basics/copd-stages/stages-explained/
Congratulations for quitting 4 days ago! The first couple of weeks are known to be the worst, so you're almost through the first week. Try to change your routine a little each day so you don't fall back into habits that make you want a cigarette. Things like sitting with your morning coffee, that stroll around the block, or an after dinner smoke.

    1. kezza20 - Every day is a win for you! Always think of it that way. You can't change the past, so don't beat yourself up, just move on from here. I'll be sending positive thoughts and good energy your way.
