Does anyone else get irritation when swallowing?

Have been using Symbicort and Spiriva Respimat for COPD for a few years. I always feel my throat is coated and swallowing is not difficult but uncomfortable. I have tried gargling with salt water but doesn’t help. I do rinse and gargle after using my inhalers. A pharmacist said nasal drip is common when using inhalers so I’ve tried Nasacort, no help. I don’t have trouble breathing through my nose. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

  1. Hi Mariebb1 and thanks for your post and inquiry. While I'm hopeful others will view you concerns and respond with their own personal experiences, you may want to post this in our 'question & answer' section - you may get additional replies there. You can access the Q & A section here: https://copd.net/q-and-a/. In addition, you may want to post it on our COPD Facebook page to stimulate even more conversation.
    What do you think?
    Good luck! Leon (site moderator)

  2. Hi again, Mariebb1 and please excuse me! I see you are already in the Q & A section, so you can ignore that suggestion! My error!
Perhaps the COPD Facebook page will bring on additional conversation.
    Best regards,
    Leon

    1. Hi Mariebb1,
This is for sure one of those peer support questions that should be asked of a wider audience and as Leon said, perhaps the facebook group can give you a wider audience.
