Is it safe to fly when you have severe COPD?

    Hi ricanbabe and thanks for your inquiry. Although we don’t provide medical advice over the internet (for your own safety), your concern certainly warrants a response. In the most general of terms, flying is as safe for a person with COPD as any form of travel is. As long as you are managing your condition, take the proper precautions (for yourself), and plan ahead of time, you should be able to travel. It’s always best for you to discuss this type of concern with your prescribing physician.
