Even before I was diagnosed I never slept that long. Oh, that I wish I could. I sleep about 8 hours but ALWAYS disrupted. Usually with trips to the bathroom or having to clear my throat

Hi pamr – thanks for letting us know your sleeping patterns too, in response to nedra’s inquiry. We’re gaining a lot from everyone’s experiences. All the best, Leon (site moderator)

I am lucky to sleep 4-5 hours.

Since I responded I am starting to log bed times and actual asleep times. I had the head of my bed raised which has improved actual sleep. I’m hoping my diet change will help me drop a few pounds and hoping both will make a difference.

Hi again, Nedra. I think that’s a marvelous idea for you to track your own bed times and actual time asleep as well. You’ll be able to determine patterns and trends and use them to your advantage. Warmly, Leon (site moderator)

Hi nedra and thanks for your question. While I’m hopeful others will chime in with their experiences, I will ask you as well – are you getting 11-12 hours of sleep each night?
    All the best,
    Leon (site moderator)
