Does anyone else have a non-productive cough with wheezing?
Does anyone else have a deep, raspy, usually non-productive cough that sometimes ends with a loud wheezing sound?
John2746 - that's a great question. I'm sure you'll get input from others in the community as well. But, a non-productive cough with wheezing is something that people complain about with COPD. They may be connected or they may just be two symptoms that you're experiencing together. You'll want to watch for any changes in the cough - such as it suddenly becoming productive. Any changes should trigger a conversation with the doctor or at least more monitoring.

Yes, especially at night and in bed. I take Mucinex twice daily as prescribed by my doctor. I've been taking this approximately 1-1/2 years. I usually try to take it about 3 hours before bed, so after its been in my system a bit it helps my cough to be productive. I hope you find something to work for you, Good Luck!
