Which air purifier is best?

Is there any specific type of air purifier that’s better than another and/or what is the best kind to buy?

    Hi nikpopg

My allergist always recommended the Dyson which is so expensive. We looked through the specs on the others and you can find similarities.

The one thing that I found out too late, was to read the caution/warning that said “Do not use if you have asthma”, another said “lung illness”. I believe these were ionizers. We sent them back right away. Nothing on the box mentioned the warninig. We had to open and get the manual out, that’s where the warning was. So do check into that.

I hope you find one that will work for you. Your doctor or respiratory tech or therapist (if you see one) might be able to recommend something for you too. Let us know what you find out. We learn so much from each other.

Hi nkipopg and thanks for your inquiry. A good number of our community members have expressed interest in the quality of the air they breathe in an effort to protect themselves from unwanted triggers in the environment. As well, there have been discussions both on our website and Facebook page about air purifiers and air cleaners. Although we don’t recommend any one manufacturer or product over another, it becomes a personal matter as to the selection process. You may find it beneficial to discuss this with your physician and your medical equipment supplier.
In view of your concern, I thought you might find it helpful to look over this material on this very topic: https://copd.net/q-and-a/air-cleaner-purifier/
    All the best,
