Take the COPD in the Bedroom Survey!

We know that COPD can bring a variety of symptoms as well as have an impact on one’s daily life. However, we’ve also heard from COPD patients that it can affect their dating life, their personal relationships, and their sexual intimacy.

We’ve put together a quick survey to learn more about what happens in the bedroom for those with COPD. So let us know what it’s like for you!

Share your thoughts!

We can’t wait to hear what you have to say!

I have avoided intimate relationships for years because of that reason. I’m sure you all understand the affects of this on my mental health.

    Hi Lynda65,
That is a tough place to be. Please feel free to reach out and speak to anyone here.
Sometime a patient and sensitive person may come along. It could make a world of difference.

Hi Lydia and thanks for your post. And yes, we do understand. Finding yourself in this position, is there anything you think you can do to make something happen for yourself? If there is anything we can do to assist you with this sensitive subject, please reach out to any of our COPD team members. Wishing you well, Leon (site moderator)

Oh boy, I’m sure I’ll be blushing while writing this. Well, to be honest I always try to be on the bottom (lol) that helps a lot. As I don’t last long at all if on top. And I try to have any kind of noise in the room music’s nice or the tv. Up kinda loud. Sounds crazy but I’m trying to drown out the sound of me wheezing. It bothers me more then him. And if I climax, it varies, sometimes Im really SOB but can calm myself down. Other times Im reaching for my inhalers! If there’s any cologne etc I’m doomed. I start thinking to myself, Why even start! Ok I’m done and flushed.

Hi Jaded and thanks for your candor and honest depiction of your situation in the bedroom. I think the intent was you to post this by taking the poll and not really post it for all to see! If you would rather have taken the poll, just let us know. If you would also like to have this post of yours removed, kindly let us know that too, and it can be taken down.
No need for you to blush!
    Warmly,
    Leon (site moderator)

Not really a problem . I still show 95-96 . When I am having a flare up my husband rubs my back and holds my hand until we fall asleep.
We are in our 80’s so we are at the stage where it is intimacy in other forms, holding hands, back rubs , cuddling, falling asleep with my head on his shoulder kind of things .

    Hi Barbara Douglass,
Sometimes its just about having someone touch you and know that they care for you.
