"Greetings to you. I have my good days and my bad days. I am hopeful as I try to live my life to the fullest.
This June, I will be 78 years old. I'm hoping to live many more years, but at the same time, I'm a realist knowing that my life could be over tomorrow. I hope not.
I have solid faith. I begin my day by getting up at 5 AM as it takes me more time to shower and get dressed than in the past. I think we all have that problem.
Service starts at 6:15 AM, and that, for me, is the best way to start the day. Then at 5:50 AM, I head out the door to drive to Mass which is 2-1/2 miles away. I stay after Mass and pray for about 15 minutes. Once back home, I make a small breakfast and head down to the basement where I live with my son and his wife and baby daughter. I am here for a few more months. Last Fall, I sold my house, gave all, and gave my furniture away. My late wife would be upset with me, but I wanted nothing! I kept most of my clothes, my computer, and my keyboard. Everything else went to family and friends, and neighbors. That is truly a freeing feeling.
But I'm not through praying. I am doing a podcast called BIAY which, if you Google it, is Bible In A Year and I started day one on January 1, 2022. At 9 AM, I'm on YouTube watching others pray, back again at 3 PM and 5 AM. It seems like a lot, but I tell you, we are asked to pray unceasingly. I don't do that as much as I try. So, I try to live my life in a very spiritual way, and it helps me make sense of my life.
I'm doing a Virtual rehab on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for three months. I zoom with 11 others for 1-1/2 hours. I take blood pressure, monitor my heart with a gadget, and a few other items. It beats traveling to an onsight place.
I will go to the store to get groceries. I don't need to shop for clothes, etc., and I no longer need to go to Home Depot.
Finally, I hope that the Zephyr valves they tried to place last year will eventually help me. I will end here by saying I pray for all those like us. It is my prayer that there will be a miracle in your life."
