Find Your Community with Inspire

Being diagnosed with COPD can feel scary and lonely, but you don’t have to manage your diagnosis alone. The American Lung Association's Living with COPD Inspire network allows you to connect with others, across time and space, going through the exact same thing.

Inspire brings people together during one of the most challenging moments of their lives and gives them a safe place to seek and receive support. There are 1.35 million people in the Inspire network, and more than 5,000 members of the Living with COPD group.

When you join this free community you can join existing discussions on many topics, such as COPD management tips, nutrition, family members and caregivers and more. Discussion topics range from breathing problems, oxygen, pulmonary rehab and more. Authors can also share their personal stories, the successes along with the challenges, and support one another through this difficult journey. One big perk of Inspire: You can control your privacy settings so you can share as little or as much as you want about yourself.

You don't have to feel alone or isolated. It feels good to talk with others who understand—and that can have a positive impact on your health. You can also find other communities, such as Living with Lung Disease and Quit Now: Freedom From Smoking®.
