Anyone tried guaifenesin?
In my adventure to fill a 55 gallon drum with mucus / phlegm, I find that using 200mg and a lake of water makes the stuff easier to deposit in said container.š¤®š¤§
Anyone else try it?
I used to take Primatene tablets.
They changed the formula removing the guaifenesin.
They are always messing with the good stuff.
Primatene is now just ephedrine which works some too but then so does strong coffee and coffee tastes much better!
It's a caffeine thing.
A year or so ago someone did an article on it but it died.
So I am asking here.

Leon (site moderator COPD.net)As far as I know the primatene mist doesn't do much for anyone but the tablets are good. Hi Intruder - I am glad to hear of the success you had using the Primatene tablets when the medicine included guaifenesin.
What I am hearing from some patients (but certainly not all or even many), is they welcome the Primatene Mist back since it costs less for them than many prescriptive name brands without insurance. I always advise them of the dangerous cardiac side effects that they risk when using Primatene Mist.
From my professional experience, the name brand/generic rescue inhalers are always more efficacious with less side effects for everyday use.

Tried the $40 mucus clear and I'll be damned if it doesn't work!
It doesn't have much smell or taste but it works great direct to tongue.

Iām not sure if you like this or not but Amazonās sells this for $36. It should last a while as 1/2 dropper last me a whole night and fortunately I donāt have to take it everyday.
I use Guafenisin all the time, cheap cough medicine to loosen phlegm. I also get carbocisteine on px, 6pd, it`s a mucolyte that thins the mucus so I don`t wake up with the almost solid plug I used to. Find both very good at easing blockages.
